Once again the NDIS in Australia makes things harder rather than easier for the people it is meant to be helping.


In a recent move the NDIS has altered its previous policy to allow participants to use remaining core funding when their transport funding runs out. This means that even if you have money allocated and remaining in your plan you aren’t allowed to use it for travel and transport.


This is preventing people requiring a carer or attendant to travel with them from travelling.


Of course this could be fixed by the agency putting adequate funding into your transport allowance or hearing an application for plan amendment urgently but I am sure this won’t happen.
